I guess what I'm asking is, how do you know when it's time to part ways and when it's still worth fighting for? From our conversations, I'm getting the feeling she still wants me to fight for us, and she wants me to fix what I broke, but she won't take me back until I'm sure I confronted the ugliest parts of me. And part of me knows that road will be a long one, and I don't wanna break her heart again every time I fail in trying to be better.
Hey Smoky, this is the wrong question to ask. Bear with me and read through:
Infidelity has only one healthy response: abandon the betrayer. Cancel them from your life, memory, thoughts. Complete erasure.
That is what you need to do with a cheater, becua It’s an abuser, sexual and emotional abuse and trauma, the first thing to do for an abuse victim is to remove the abuser from the proximity.
Now this is why you read "nobody ever reconciled with a cheater" because it is not possible.
There is another part of that sentence: "they reconciled with the person who they became".
Do you get the deeper meaning of this?
You have to choose who you want to be.
- Stay in the comfort zone of the person you allowed yourself to become (the cheater, abuser, empty and unworthy). The worst version of you.
- reclaim for yourself the better version of you. Face your ghosts. Learn self love. Become worthy of love. Become a safe partner.
Your BS can let you go and find a man who will never cheat her.
You can’t just abandon yourself, the cheater will haunt you for the rest of your life and goon destroying and tainting any relationship you may ever have.
You may fly low and hide under the radar, but unless you confront the cheater and "kill him" you will never be a safe partner for anyone.
And the cheater is a pussy, it’s a frightened child who is searching for validation to feel worthy to exist.
You are a grown up. You have balls. Don’t just keep them as jewelry, actually own them and raise your chin.
You are a lovable person and worthy, everyone is, you just need to embrace that instead of diggin into the mud. You chose to become unworthy. You can reclaim that by accepting it.
Your woman. It is a cry for her broken love and the faith she still somehow has in you.
She is not abandoning the suffering because part of her, the part who loved you, doesn’t want you to drown in the hell of your own creation.
She has faith in you.
Is she worthy enough that you may consider having faith in yourself?
Good,luck brother
